📚 PROGRAMS

We offer one-to-one, small-group, and larger-group maths lessons, online and face-to-face in the Coburg area (Melbourne), for primary and high school students who need support, extension, exam preparation, or enrichment in maths.

We also offer a Maths Club with regular problem sets and monthly team activities, plus maths competition training and help with registrations for students who want to advance their maths level.

Our Philosophy

At Magic Math Master, we believe every child can enjoy maths and feel proud of their thinking. We build strong foundations and a growth mindset, helping students move from “I can’t” to “I can improve” and eventually “I can do this”. Lessons use real, meaningful contexts so children see how maths connects to their world and their future.

Maths for life, not just tests – We teach maths as a thinking tool children can use in everyday life, future study, and careers, not only for exams.
Real, meaningful contexts – Pizza slices, pocket money, soccer scores, coding, satellites… we connect maths to things children already care about.
Strong foundations + real problem solving – We fill gaps, build solid basics, then extend into rich, logical problem-solving so students can think like mathematicians.
Confidence, growth mindset, and clear communication – Students learn that ability can grow, mistakes are okay, and explaining their ideas is part of maths. Students are encouraged to present their answers with explanations, building presentation skills that help them speak confidently in front of groups and make their ideas understood.

📘 About Us

👩🔬 Created by a Maths-Loving Scientist

Magic Math Master was founded by Dr Tuyet Vu – a scientist, engineer, experienced maths teacher, and devoted mum of two. She has spent decades in STEM education and industry, so she knows both how maths is used in the real world and how young minds learn best.

At Magic Math Master, we build on our founder, Dr Tuyet’s expertise to design lessons that are practical, engaging, and child-focused. Drawing on her experience teaching kids from early primary through to high school, as well as university students – including her own children – we are passionate about helping kids feel confident, capable, and curious about maths.
